Welcome to the Night Swim and G1 Productions coffee collaboration!

G1 is owned by George Lever, a UK based producer and engineer (Sleep Token, Loathe, Holding Absence).

We know how intimidating brewing great coffee at home can be, so we’ve set out to offer you a series of coffees that are user-friendly, accessible, and undeniably delicious.

Most people’s relationship with coffee begins and ends with routine. It usually looks something like this: A scoop into the machine. A button pressed before work. Something fast, familiar, and forgettable.

And somewhere along the way, specialty coffee started feeling like a world people needed permission to enter: full of rules, gear, and the fear of doing it wrong. The G1 x Night Swim series was built as an alternative to that feeling.

A collaboration between G1 Productions and Night Swim, this quarterly series is centered around coffees that are approachable, expressive, and easy to enjoy at home. Coffees that feel elevated without feeling exclusive.

The project grew out of a simple habit from George Lever: brewing coffee for people. Coffee with clients, friends, and collaborators started as small moments of hospitality that often turned into conversations about how intimidating coffee can seem from the outside.

This series is an attempt to lower the barrier.

Four releases. One each quarter. Carefully selected coffees designed to help people feel confident brewing at home, whether it’s their first pour over or just a better morning cup.

Because good coffee should feel inviting.

Puno is characterized by its varied landscapes that can range from a deep and warm jungle to the highest and iciest mountains of the Andes. Puno is also the fifth highest city in the world with its almost 4,000 meters above sea level. It is due to the strong presence of the Andes that we can find a diversity of very fertile soils even at very low temperatures, with high sources of minerals.
Just 5 hours from Juliaca we arrive at Sandia, the jungle of Puno, with a unique tropical climate (it has favorable temperatures for planting and is at an altitude of 1600 and up), in Sandia is where our journey begins to find the most coffees. special and unique from Puno.

The main district of Sandia is Alto Inambari, its name is due to the fact that it is the highest part through which the Inambari river passes, and it is really high! The height of this area can reach almost 3000 meters above sea level and it is due to these heights and the richness of its lands that one of the best coffees in Peru is produced.

The Sandia Valley, located on the eastern edge of Puno, is home to decades of coffee growing and excellent processing practices. Red Fox, our importing partner for this offering, began purchasing coffees from the Sandia Valley all the way back in 2007 as they discovered the remarkable florality and sweetness characteristic of this region’s coffees.

Within the massive Sandia Valley lie many smaller valleys, each hosting unique coffee-producing communities of smallholder farmers averaging just 2.5 hectares of coffee land. Due to a UN-led replanting project in the 80s, much of Sandia Valley grows Bourbon-variety coffee, offering an elegant, floral, honeyed, and dynamically citric character, or, alternately, a rich, full-bodied, and incredibly sweet malic red apple or pear aspect. These coffees are entirely unique to Puno, distinct from what you’ll find in other regions of Peru, and offer something for every palate.
